Everything about Magarpatta City in Pune was Ahead Of Its Time'. This was the first large (400 acers) mixed use development where hundred of small farmers pooled their land together. formed a development company and built a beautiful futuristic city which is often heralded as an exemplary model for land development by none other than the UN!

The city visionaries latched onto the energy saving potential of LED lights ahead of the most of the world and invited some of the biggest lighting companies to proove their technology in a 6-month pilot. At the end of the period. The lights based on the Agami's technology where only the ones left standing! Needless to say the bold leaders of Magarpatta choose a no name company to replace more than 600 HPSV lights with these very futuristic fixtures. The lights installed in 2009-10 timeframe are still faithfully serving the city without any failures.

Challanges And Solutions

From residential lanes to thoroughfares The city has many roads with widely different photometric requirements. But for all roads the common requirements were energy efficiency. negligible light pollution and unformity, and overall world class ligthing for this world class city.
To meet this requirements,we designed a very futuristic, industrial-chic fixture unique to the city and then created a variations of that for photometric requirements as seen in the image here.Which shows three versions of single base fixture. The wattage of all fixtures ranged from 50-185W. Day and night, the city proudly shows these unique fixtures and their world class,optimal and non-light-polluting lighting
